Meet Our First CCS Spark Award Recipients! ✨

CCS families, thank you for helping us recognize the people who make a difference in our schools! More than 70 employees were nominated for our first Spark Awards. Five recipients were recognized at the September Board of Education meeting:
  • James Elliott, Technology Engineer: Worked behind the scenes to make sure Northstar Academy’s technology was ready for students and staff on opening day.
  • Melissa Ervin, Blackburn Elementary: Helps her kindergarten students feel welcomed, confident and excited to learn.
  • Molly Rice, St. Stephens High School: Creates a welcoming theatre community where students can find their place and build confidence.
  • Crystal Webb, Arndt Middle School: Inspires students to join band, celebrates their progress and helps them feel connected.
  • Michele Fox, Data Manager for Blackburn Elementary and Jacobs Fork Middle School: Went above and beyond to help a family new to our community enroll four children in time for the first day of school.

Who should we recognize in October? Students, families, and employees may nominate any CCS employee. Tell us a specific story about how that person showed initiative, compassion, exceptional service, or support beyond the everyday expectations of their role.

Nominate a CCS employee for an October Spark Award

Spark Award recognitions are sponsored by Chris Gettys with Homes for Heroes.
